Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is extremely pleased to announce that Audrey Kriss Berkowitz has been named as the Gallery’s new featured artist and she will now be promoted by the gallery for the next 14 days in the gallery’s Artist Showcase.
Audrey is an award-winning photographer based in Wilmington, North Carolina, USA. Audrey was selected as 1 of the top twelve finalists in the gallery’s 16th Solo Art Exhibition Series. The placement in this competition qualified her art to be showcased in this feature.
Audrey’s Artist Showcase feature will be promoted to over 350+ major news outlets, with inclusion on Google News & Bing News. In addition, the gallery will also be featuring and promoting her artwork in the gallery’s various social media networks for further exposure.

Artist Biography
Audrey Kriss Berkowitz was born in Brooklyn, NY. She moved to Montgomery County, MD in 1987 and raised a family while having a successful banking career and returning to college. After the tragic death of her son in 2016, Audrey turned to photography to cope with her grief. When she relocated to the Wilmington, NC beach area and refocused her energy on what was important to her, she realized the beauty of nature brought her peace and serenity. She enrolled at the Cameron Art Museum for a few basic photography courses but is basically self-taught.
As a fine art photographer in the Wilmington, NC area, she has participated in juried art shows in North Carolina and throughout the United States. These shows include the Leland Art League Juried Exhibition, Wilmington Art Association Spring Online Juried Show, the Image ’19 show sponsored by Art in Bloom and Art Works, Silver Arts (as a ribbon winner), in addition to shows at Wilmington and Leland establishments. She has also been included in the Naples Art Association International Juried Show, the 311 Gallery in Raleigh and restaurant art exhibitions in Maryland.
Light, Space and Time Gallery has awarded Audrey recognition in several recent shows including the 10th Anniversary, Seascapes and Created in Isolation with Honorable Mention, Special Recognition and several place awards. Lunabelle Gift Shop and Katie's Frame in Leland carry Audrey's work in addition to Art Exposure in Hampstead. Her specialties are landscape and food photography.
Audrey often uses an artistic spin to her work in addition to the realistic capture of nature seen in her work. Audrey is a member of the Wilmington Art Association and Leland Art League.
Artist Statement
In 2017, I moved to Wilmington, NC to begin a new life after the death of my son. Photography afforded me the ability to look beyond my pain and see the beauty around me. North Carolina's beautiful landscapes gave me peace and serenity that was lacking in my life, and I wanted to transmit these feelings in my work. As a photographer, I feel I am a witness to the Earth's beauty and use my lens to capture the story in front of me.
Photography not only relays an image but also should leave the viewer with feelings. Landscape photography will often inspire feelings of awe, peace, serenity while portrait or street photography can convey a story and make us wonder about the lives of the individual in the photo. I enjoy challenges and although much of my work involves landscape photography, I have branched out and challenged myself with food photography and candid portraits or as I like to say "people photos" which give you some glimpse of the story behind the face.
