Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is very pleased to announce that Todd Davis has been selected as one of the four artists of the gallery’s recent eighth “Solo Art Series” Art Competition. Todd will now have a month-long solo art exhibition and he will be featured on the gallery’s front page, in the Gallery’s YouTube Channel, as well as in the “Solo Art Series” archive.
Todd Davis is a St Louis, Missouri based commercial photographer. He will now be promoted by the gallery with an extensive public relations campaign. This solo exhibition will distribute, promote and circulate press releases to over 550+ major News Outlets, Premium FOX, CBS, NBC, Affiliated Sites, Guaranteed inclusion on Google News & Bing News and Social Media Inclusion.and through LST gallery’s broad social media network.
In addition, as part of his award package, he will now be featured as an Artsy.net Light Space & Time promoted artist. The LST Artsy.net page will feature 5 pieces of the artist’s art, a small artist statement and their website URL’s as part of the gallery’s overall prize package.

The “Solo Art Series” is a series of monthly solo art exhibitions for established artists who have a body of work to present to the public. Artist participants were asked to submit the following 3 components for the “Solo Art Series” competition; 1. Their art. 2. Their artist biography. 3. Their artist statement. These elements were evaluated and judged, which resulted in the selection of the artists who will be featured in individual month-long solo art exhibitions. This was the eighth “Solo Art Series” Art Competition the gallery has conducted.

Artist Biography:
From shooting the latest product for Anheuser Busch to photographing an interactive panorama of the fabulous Fox Theater in St. Louis, Todd Davis collaborates with clients to convey their vision through fine photography. As a top graduate of Southern Illinois University’s rigorous photography program, Davis combines his expert training with more than thirty years of professional experience in commercial photography and fine art photography to create photographs that are both captivating and original.
Not to be restricted to the inanimate, Davis has photographed celebrities including Prince, Michael Buble, Pamela Anderson, Greg Sporleder, and Ernest Trova, to name a few. Product, beverage, celebrity promotional, live performance, catalog fashion, and fine art photography are all represented in his extensive portfolio.
As a respected industry veteran, Todd Davis has been featured in publications such as View Camera, Toy Camera, and the reference book Artificial Lighting for Photography. Davis has also been a guest lecturer at Webster University and Southern Illinois University. His fine art photography has been exhibited in prestigious galleries and museums throughout the US. Davis is currently represented by Modern Art Etc in Los Angeles and his latest works are featured in the Holly Hunt Galleries, and The Shisry Leedy Gallery in Kansas City.
Artist Statement:
These are photographs that I've wanted to make for a long time.
Although my early ideas of what they might be were nothing like what they became.
It took a certain model, a certain woman, and a long path to make them what they are, something out of my dreams, or, perhaps, my nightmares, but existing only in the shared imagination of two artists. I've always appreciated the human form, both in art and as art. The shapes and forms that emerge with the abstraction of the body created by the body make-up create a sense of power contained within the softness of the figure, played out against the coarseness and hardness of the man-made objects.
The curves of the rope echoing the curves of the body.
The cold hardness of the chain revealing the strength of the body.
The linearity of the chair and ladder contrasting the suppleness of the figure, belying both time and age.
